Jasmine Hornby is the founder of StrideMate, a venture addressing needs in Australia's NDIS disability support sector. Based in the Perth area of Western Australia, Jasmine is a business student at Murdoch University who is working on launching her own startup. StrideMate was listed among the alumni ventures of the WA Social Enterprise Council's inaugural Social Impact Incubator, whose cohort graduated in early 2026, and was named a finalist in the emerging social enterprise category of the WASEC Social Enterprise Awards.
Jasmine describes StrideMate as a participant-led, AI-driven civic-tech venture aimed at empowering people with disability to self-advocate and shape their own experience of the NDIS. That focus places participants at the centre of the work StrideMate is building.
Jasmine's entrepreneurial path connects directly to her studies. She said it was fantastic to have an entrepreneurial sprint included as part of the first-year Innovator's Mindset unit at Murdoch University, an experience that has run alongside her work developing StrideMate.
