Kirsty Gibbs is a former classroom teacher who built a tutoring business and now works as a business coach and mentor for teachers and tutors starting and growing their own tutoring ventures. She established Learning Blocks in 2012, opening her first centre in Burleigh Heads on the Queensland Gold Coast, and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Director. Kirsty describes creating her first bricks-and-mortar tutoring business, later opening a second centre in Northern NSW and reaching a six-figure business within the first 12 months.

Today Kirsty operates a coaching business under her own name, offering a Tutoring Business Framework alongside programs and courses including Tutor Bootcamp and the Tutoring Growth Membership. She hosts the fortnightly podcast Classroom to Business and has presented at the Australian Tutoring Association's National Conferences in 2024 and 2025.

Kirsty's focus is on helping educators turn teaching expertise into sustainable, well-structured businesses. She explains how she restructured her own centre to run on largely automated systems, and on her podcast she has discussed tutoring software designed to automate repetitive business tasks such as onboarding emails. Her experience spans the full path from classroom to business owner, which shapes the practical guidance she offers others in the sector.
