Lydia Fox

Lydia Fox is the founder of Nomii, a family memory-keepsake app for parents, built by a small Brisbane-based team. The idea grew out of her own experience as a parent. After having her son, Lydia interviewed more than 100 parents about the challenges they faced with memory-keepsake tools, and that research shaped what Nomii became. She took a voluntary redundancy from her job to begin working on it, drawing on a professional background in nutrition, personal training and customer service.

Lydia is a graduate of the Founder Institute accelerator program and a founding member of the Startup Onramp Founder Community. She built the Nomii app herself using no-code tools, and positions the product around keeping children's data safe, secure and private without vendor lock-in.

Lydia describes herself as a neurodiverse founder, identifying as having both Autism and ADHD, and says she was late-diagnosed at 37, shortly after her son was diagnosed. She writes openly about this experience through Nomii's blog and her Substack newsletter, 'Thinking Off-Script', which covers philosophy, science, neurodivergence, parenting and her work as a founder building an app with no technical background.
