Nicole Salisbury is the Founder and CEO of MusoLingo, an Australian company based in New South Wales that teaches languages by having users sing along to music. The platform uses AI and neural-network-driven voice analysis to give singers real-time feedback, and its released app offers an English Level 1 topic built around a library of more than 400 songs across 24 genres and 15 learning modules. MusoLingo is a startup resident at the Macquarie University Incubator, where Nicole won the Best Pitch Award at the 2025 Incubator Pitch Final, and the company worked with the University of Oregon's Media Innovation Lab as a foundation client.
Alongside MusoLingo, Nicole has spent the past 20 years running Entertainment Marketing Group, with clients including FIFA, EA Sports, Google, the Australian Publishers Association, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, the Copyright Agency, Warner Music and 20th Century Fox Films. She was part of the team that launched the Nova FM radio stations in Australia and created the FIFA Interactive World Cup for the Asia-Pacific region, bringing this experience in business, media, music and brand strategy to MusoLingo.
Nicole describes a career spanning the music industry, including roles at BMG and Sony Music around the time of Napster's disruption, having started out as a signed singer who played on national radio.
MusoLingo has increasingly positioned itself around workplace and corporate learning, covering onboarding, customer service, compliance and company culture. Nicole sees an employee's inability to recall company values as a format problem rather than a communication one, and believes music solves it. Her perspective points toward workplace learning that is experienced rather than consumed.
