Sally Pymer runs Empowered with Sally, a women's empowerment, motivational speaking and workshop facilitation business supporting women to embrace themselves and live with purpose. Based near Horsham in the Wimmera region of Victoria, where she lives on a farm, Sally works as a keynote and motivational speaker, delivering a keynote titled 'Why A Smile Can Change The World' at events including the National Education Summit in Melbourne. She also writes a fortnightly newspaper column, 'Smiles with Sally,' published across regional Victorian print media.

Sally's work draws on more than two decades of experience spanning psychology, alcohol and other drug counselling, community development and coaching. Her earlier roles in the Wimmera region included coordinating the Wimmera Drug Action Taskforce, a Community Recovery Officer role with Horsham Rural City Council, and work with Grampians Health.

Sally believes a smile is a free, universal and biologically contagious gesture that can build trust, reduce stigma and support mental health and connection. Alongside her speaking, she organises 'Stories that Stir,' a Horsham storytelling event where local Wimmera voices share personal stories of courage and resilience.
