Sam Gerrard is the founder and Managing Director of Pructon, an Australian engineering, construction and maintenance company he established in 2012. What began as a modest operation in Mount Isa, northwest Queensland, focused on fabrication and on-site services in remote areas, has grown into a nationwide business operating across Queensland, New South Wales, the Northern Territory and Western Australia, with headquarters in the Brisbane area. Pructon forms part of Pacific Construction Group Pty Ltd and works across the mining, oil and gas, water infrastructure, and power generation industries.
Under Sam's leadership, Pructon has delivered projects for major contractors, including upgrade works at the Mt Kynoch Water Treatment Plant in Toowoomba for Fulton Hogan and the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre project commissioned by John Holland. On the John Holland engagement, Sam explained that being entrusted again underscores the company's commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget.
Sam positions safety, integrity and quality as Pructon's core operating priorities. Reflecting on the company's twelfth anniversary, he described it as a testament to the dedication of his team, whose commitment he sees as central to Pructon's success.
