Sarda Nana is the founder of Agreement Works, an Australian social enterprise focused on consent education. She has served as Director of Agreement Works Pty Ltd since July 2023, based in Sydney, New South Wales. Her earlier career includes roles in the NSW Attorney General's Department, where she worked as Senior Policy Officer in the Crime Prevention Division and as Manager of Learning and Development. Sarda holds a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University of Wellington, a Diploma in Teaching, and further qualifications in mediation, quality management, facilitation and training.
Sarda describes over 25 years of experience across policy, crime prevention, justice, disability, education, community and private sectors, work that informs her approach to consent as an everyday life skill. Through Agreement Works she developed Agreement F.I.R.S.T., a consent card game for children aged 10 and up, developed, designed, printed and manufactured in Australia. The acronym captures five elements of consent: Freely Given, Informed, Responsive, Specific, and Talked About. The enterprise also offers a classroom package with lesson materials and is developing interactive workshops.
Sarda's stated mission is to empower children and communities with the language and tools of consent, ideally before harm occurs, framing consent as more than a matter of intimacy. Her work focuses on giving young people practical ways to understand agreement early.
