Veronica Hey is the Melbourne-based founder of Ok Away, an Australian travel safety application launched in 2021. The mobile SaaS platform lets family and friends stay connected while apart through mapped location sharing, local time, itinerary arrivals and departures, failure-to-arrive and place alerts, and safety and travel warnings. Ok Away grew out of Veronica's earlier venture Blackbook Traveler, a user-generated platform for logging and viewing travel safety, security and health warnings that she founded in 2013, and it carries forward the Missing Pages Initiative that began under that project.

Veronica's focus on traveller safety is rooted in her own experience. She studied Tourism and, after experiencing close calls while backpacking solo around the world, spent roughly eight years looking into how technology could connect the travel community and help search for missing travellers.

In August 2022, Ok Away announced a partnership with health-tech company Air Doctor while progressing through the US-based Newchip Accelerator Program. "We are really excited by our partnership with Air Doctor," Veronica said. "Our shared vision is to provide travelers with a safer and more connected travel experience."
