Kaytie Rich is the founder and owner of More Than Wildflowers, a small online boutique that makes Christian resources from the United States more affordable and accessible to people across Australia and New Zealand. The business brings together products that would otherwise be difficult or costly for readers in the region to obtain.
The idea took shape from a practical problem. Kaytie explains that she first considered the concept when she tried to buy products from She Reads Truth and found the shipping cost from the US to Australia was double the price of the product itself. That gap between what readers wanted and what they could reasonably pay became the foundation for a boutique built to close it. More Than Wildflowers officially launched in February 2020.
Since then, Kaytie has built out a catalogue drawn from a range of US Christian brands, including Val Marie Paper, She Reads Truth, Hosanna Revival, He Reads Truth and Tiny Theologians. The business also serves as an Australian stockist for Hosanna Revival, giving local customers a direct point of access to a brand that would otherwise sit behind international shipping and import costs.
Kaytie describes her Christian faith as central to both her life and the way she frames the business, which she sees as a ministry rather than simply a storefront. That perspective shapes the kinds of resources she chooses to stock and the readers she sets out to serve. She and her family live in the Hunter region of New South Wales, where they belong to a church community at Maitland Evangelical.
More Than Wildflowers reflects a focused opportunity Kaytie identified early. By taking on the logistics and cost barriers herself, she has made journals, Bibles and faith resources that were once out of easy reach something Australian and New Zealand readers can now find in one place.
