When Cassandra Cadorin sat down with She's The Boss Chats in April 2023, the conversation traced a path that runs from a grape farm near Griffith, NSW, to the founding of a business operations platform used by service-based teams. It is a story shaped by place, and the podcast gives Cassandra room to explain how each stage led to the next.

Cassandra grew up on the family grape farm and worked there as a child, returning to the vineyard in 2016 before launching her first venture. Between those two chapters came about five years in London, where she discovered digital marketing. That period set the direction for much of her later work. Since 2007 she has worked across media and marketing on brands including Vittoria Coffee, Budweiser and Hahn Super Dry, experience that would eventually feed into her own agency, Candid Marketing, headquartered in Griffith.

The episode also touches on the more difficult stretch of that period. After returning to Griffith from London, Cassandra's marriage broke up and she became a single mother with a young child, at one point living in a very small home. She has described the odds as stacked against her as an inland-based single mother, a candour that sits at the centre of the conversation.

Cassandra's move into software grew out of that same regional grounding. She created CanTicket during the pandemic, in part to retain her staff and give them something to work on after her tourism business was affected by COVID-19. That tourism venture, Bella Vita Riverina Tours, had earned her recognition as a NSW Business Chamber State Finalist for Outstanding Entrepreneur and Excellence in Micro Business. CanTicket has since grown into an all-in-one platform covering quoting, task tracking, time management and invoicing without per-seat pricing.

What the She's The Boss Chats conversation captures is the throughline. A childhood on the land, a marketing education abroad, a hard reset as a single mother, and a software company built to keep her team employed. For Cassandra, each step informs the way she now builds tools for other lean, service-based businesses.
