Pructon's news page offers a clear picture of where the Australian engineering, construction and maintenance company has arrived after more than a decade of work. Founded in 2012 by Sam Gerrard, who serves as the company's Managing Director, Pructon began as a modest operation in Mount Isa, northwest Queensland, and now operates across the mining, oil and gas, water infrastructure, and power generation industries.
The company's recent updates centre on water infrastructure. In July 2024, Pructon was commissioned by John Holland for the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre project, with on-site works scheduled to commence in late July 2024 and anticipated completion by mid-2025. Reflecting on the appointment, Sam said: "Being entrusted by John Holland again underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget."
The recognition builds on earlier work in the sector. In March 2023, Pructon was awarded a contract with Fulton Hogan Construction for upgrade works at the Mt Kynoch Water Treatment Plant in Toowoomba, Queensland, covering the installation of platforms and associated SMP work. That relationship with Fulton Hogan traces back to 2019 at the Oxley Water Treatment Plant.
The news page also marks a milestone. In August 2024, Pructon celebrated its 12th anniversary, a point Sam connected directly to the people behind the company. "Our 12th anniversary is a momentous occasion that fills me with immense pride," he said. "It stands as a testament to the relentless hard work and dedication of our team, whose commitment has been central to Pructon's success."
Across these updates, Pructon frames its operating priorities as Safety, Integrity, and Quality. From a single fabrication and on-site services base in remote Queensland, the company now works nationwide across Queensland, New South Wales, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia. Sam's focus, as the news page sets out, remains on delivering engineering solutions for water infrastructure and the broader industries Pructon serves.
