Renate Crollini's LinkedIn profile maps a career that moves across engineering, sustainability and the startup world, and it anchors her current work at Tech Ready Women Academy, Australia's accelerator and education platform for female founders.
That breadth is one of the defining features of Renate's background. Her experience spans engineering, large-scale infrastructure, sustainability, corporate advisory, not-for-profits and startups, including roughly 12 years working in New York City before she returned to Australia. It is a profile that connects technical foundations with the hands-on realities of building companies.
Before her current roles, Renate co-founded Brownee, a sustainability platform for small and medium enterprises, where she served as Co-Founder and CSO. Today she is also co-founder of Adaluma, a financial intelligence and ESG data-verification platform built for CFOs, banks, corporates and governments. At Tech Ready Women she joined as Program Lead of the Female Founder Startup Program, announced in January 2026, working with early-stage female founders on idea validation, entrepreneurship and investment readiness. Her work in this space extends to moderating and MCing female founder panels and events, including the UTS Startups Female Founder Panel and Founder Stories events.
The perspective she brings to that work is shaped by direct experience. Renate has described walking away from her first startup as a difficult decision, and she speaks about resilience and knowing when to change direction versus when to persist. She argues that entrepreneurship isn't about certainty, describing founders as essentially building the plane while they are flying it, and noting that nobody has all the answers.
That outlook carries into the message she offers other women. Renate encourages anyone with a business idea to get off the fence, jump in, believe in themselves and figure it out as they go. It is advice drawn from a career that has crossed industries and continents, and it reflects the kind of support she now focuses on delivering to the next generation of founders.
